The Book Industry Study Group (BISG) has launched Find a Rightsholder, a centralized, searchable database designed to help publishing professionals identify rights and permissions contacts across more than 3,500 US and UK imprints–including many inactive or defunct ones. Spearheaded by BISG’s Rights Committee and chaired by Kris Kliemann, the tool supports industry wide efforts to simplify rights communication, reduce licensing delays, and open new opportunities for content reuse and monetization. The NYU Advanced Publishing Institute is now open for registration with a special early-bird rate.
