Lorraine Shanley is a noted authority on all aspects of trade book publishing in the US and internationally. She has worked with publishers in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and her company, Market Partners International, is one of the foremost publishing consultancies in New York. Shanley began her career at Book-of-the-Month Club and Time Inc., and was Editorial Director of HarperCollins before launching MPI. She is a member and past president of Women’s Media Group, is on advisory board of New York University’s Center for Publishing and is a trustee of The Hudson River Museum. Shanley reviews books and audiobooks for publications, including BookReporter and Kirkus Reviews.

Julie Blattberg,

Julie Blattberg is a strategic consultant to corporations, publishers, digital startups, and nonprofit organizations looking to improve their marketing and communications, implement operational efficiencies, or launch or grow a business. Alexandra Kleinmann,
Editor, Publishing Trends

Alexandra Kleinmann is in her final year of graduate school at NYU, pursuing a Master’s in Publishing. Prior to this, she completed NYU’s Summer Publishing Institute and got her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she is originally from. Alexandra now resides in Queens with her dog, Titos. If she is not curled up reading, or at the bookstore shopping, she is more than likely at the park with Titos or spending time with friends and family.

Constance Sayre,
Consultant-at-Large, Market Partners International

Constance Sayre, one of the original founders of MPI, is currently a consultant-at-large for MPI. She has held a range of senior positions in publishing. Starting at Simon & Schuster, she was also at Henry Holt and Times Books before moving to London to work for Andre Deutsch and Time Life Book Clubs. Returning to New York, she held senior positions at Viking, and Grove Atlantic before co-founding MPI. She is a graduate of Barnard College.
