Baker & Taylor and Bookmasters were sold to the Follett Corporation.  B&T President and CEO George Coe will stay on as Follett Group President, Baker & Taylor and Follett School Solutions, reporting to Follett CEO Ray Griffith. Ken Fultz will stay on as General Manager of Bookmasters. Nader Qaimari was promoted to President, Follett School Solution, reporting to Coe.

Random House is restarting its One World imprint in Fall 2017 with Editor Chris Jackson as the VP, Publisher, and Editor-in-Chief. Jackson was previously Executive Editor at Spiegel & Grau. Additionaly, Random House announced the creation of the Lenny imprint, which will publish titles selected by Lena Dunham and her Lenny Letter newsletter Co-Creator Jenni Konner.

Ingram announced its new operating structure following its sale to Perseus Distribution. Ingram Chief Content Officer Phil Olilla will run the combined distribution businesses. Ingram Publisher Services VP and General Manager Mark Ouimet will run IPS and former Perseus subsidiaries Publishers Group West, Consortium, and Legato. Perseus SVP and Group Sales Director Sabrina McCarthy will continue to oversee Perseus Distribution. Ouimet and McCarthy will report directly to Olilla. Matty Goldberg, formerly President of Publishing, Client, and Sales Development at Perseus, will lead acquisitions strategies, reporting to Ouimet. Former Perseus VP of International Sales and Marketing Meredith Greenhouse will focus on growing distribution abroad and report to McCarthy. Keith Arsenault will be Sales Director for Canada, reporting to Greenhouse. Jeanne Emanuel, who was VP, Special Markets and Custom Publishing at Perseus, will lead a new shared services sales group overseeing field sales, gift and specialty, and national accounts. She will report to Shawn Everson, the Chief Commercial Officer of Ingram. Additionally, Emanuel will lead Gift and Specialty Sales, Elisa Cannon will lead Field Sales, and Mary Faria will lead Mass Segments. Cannon will also support indie sales for all distribution brands except Consortium and Ingram. Melissa Serdinsky is heading integration efforts for the digital units Constellation and CoreSource.
