Kierna Mayo joins Random House as VP and Executive Editor at One World/Roc Lit 101. Most recently she was SVP of Content for Interactive One. Stacey Barney has joined Nancy Paulsen Books as Associate Publisher. Most recently she was Executive Editor at Putnam Children’s. Caitlin Tutterow, formerly Assistant Editor at Putnam Children’s, also joins as Assistant Editor. At Convergent, Alisse Goldsmith-Wissman joins as Senior Publicist; she was previously Publicity Manager at Independent Publishers Group. And at Penguin Random House Audio, Lizbeth Gutierrez, lately PR Manager at Crunchyroll, joins as Senior Publicist, while Brisa Robinson, lately Publicity and Communications Associate Manager at New York Public Radio, joins as Senior Publicity Manager.

On December 1, Quarto COO Ken Fund will retire from the company and its board.

At Zando, Tiffany Liao has been hired to lead the company’s Young Readers initiative, effective June 9. She is presently Senior Editor at Henry Holt Books for Young Readers.

At Quirk Books, Jess Zimmerman joins as Editor on July 6. She is presently Editor-in-Chief at Electric Literature.

Anna Cooperberg has joined Hay House as Editor, focusing on metaphysical topics. She was previously Assistant Editor at Workman Publishing.

Adam O’Brien, lately Editor at Sterling, joins Apollo Publishers as Editor.

Samantha Schoech has left her position as Program Director of Independent Bookstore Day. She was involved in the conception of the event, which began as California Bookstore Day, and has overseen its activities for the past eight years.

At Nelson Books, Janet Hill Talbert joins as Executive Editor on June 14. Most recently she was Senior Editor at Guideposts Books and Inspirational Media.

Andrea Hall joins Beaming Books as Senior Acquisitions Editor. Formerly she was Editor at Albert Whitman & Company.

At Simon & Schuster, Caitlin Morrow joins as Assistant Manager, Special Markets Sales. She was previously Special Sales Associate at Macmillan.

At Chronicle Prism, Michelle Triant joins as Senior Publicist. Previously she was Associate Director of Publicity at Fortier Public Relations.

Katelynn Jasper joins as Publicist at Page Street Publishing.

Elysse Wagner joins Books Forward as Campaign Strategist, moving over from her previous work as Marketing Strategist in the nonprofit sector. Corrine Pritchett and Simone Jung join as Publicist and Digital Marketing Strategists. Cindy Allman joins as Digital Marketing Strategist.

Miguel Salazar joins the New York Times Book Review as Fact-Checker. He previously ran The Nation’s fact-checking department and internship program.

Frances Gilbert has been named VP of Doubleday Books for Young Readers, in addition to her existing role as Editor-in-Chief. Tamar Brazis has been promoted to Associate Publisher at Viking Books for Young Readers, while Aneeka Kalia becomes Associate Editor and Meriam Metoui becomes Assistant Editor. At Penguin Young Readers, Ellice Lee is now Senior Art Director and Kate Renner becomes Associate Art Director. Talia Benamy has been promoted to Editor at Philomel Books. In PRH’s adult division: Erin Galloway is now Publicity Director at Berkley. At Penguin Press, Mia Council becomes Associate Editor and Shina Patel becomes Assistant Marketing Manager.

Claire Eddy and Will Hinton have been promoted to Editorial Directors for Tor, Nightfire, Tor Teen, and Starscape. Additionally, Molly McGhee becomes Assistant Editor. At Macmillan Children’s, Allyson Floridia becomes Managing Editor.

In agency news…Martha Wydysh is now Literary Agent at Trident Media Group. At Aevitas Creative Management, Sarah Bowlin, David Granger, Sarah Levitt, and Penny Moore have become Senior Agents.

At William Morrow, Nate Lanman has been promoted to Associate Editor. At Harlequin Trade Publishing, Justine Sha becomes Senior Publicist and Lia Ferrone becomes Publicist.

Ingram Content Group is selling education technology solutions provider VitalSource to investment firm Francisco Partners. Ingram acquired VitalSource in 2006.

ReaderLink has acquired craft and activity publisher Dreamtivity. Dreamtivity will remain a separate imprint under Printers Row Publishing Group.

Square One Publishers has acquired the assets of Upper Access. IPG, Upper Access’s current trade distributor, will complete the transfer of inventory to Square One by July 16.

Beginning in January 2022, Two Rivers Distribution will become Zando’s distributor.

In the fall, Oxford University Press will move its US warehouse and fulfillment operations to Ingram Distribution Solutions. As a result, OUP will close its Cary, NC warehouse.

KF Literary Scouting has been appointed scout in the US and UK for Portugal’s Presença.

Levine Querido has an exclusive audiobook partnership with RBmedia. Levine Querido was represented by Linda Biagi at Biagi Literary Management in the agreement.

Princeton University Press is launching PUP Speaks, an in-house speakers’ agency to be led by Katie Stileman. Stileman previously directed global publicity and author relations at The MIT Press.
