At Scribd, Ariana Hellebuyck joins in the newly-created role of Chief Marketing Officer. Most recently she was VP, Marketing at Life360.

At HarperCollins, Abby West joins Amistad as VP and Editorial Director on September 12. Previously she was Director of Inclusive Content Programming at Audible. At HarperCollins Children’s Books, Katie Boni, formerly Publicist at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, joins as Publicist.

Andrew Stoddard has been named the new VP and Publisher of Thomas Nelson, effective September 7. He was previously Editorial Director for WaterBrook Multnomah.

At Coffee House Press, Anitra Budd has announced that she will be leaving the press a year after being announced as Publisher.

Jamie Thompson, formerly Executive Editor at Chronicle Books, joins Insight Editions as Publishing Director.

At Sourcebooks, Anu Madan joins as Director of People. Previously she was VP, Learning & Talent at Accenture. Ray Fredericks, previously Creative Director, VP of Toy Design at Creata, joins as Publishing Project Manager. Gigi Curran joins as Talent Acquisition Manager. And Fanita Ghang joins as Database Administrator.

Elizabeth Montoya Vaughan joins Penguin Young Readers as Associate Director of Publicity. She was previously Head of Publishing and Brand Communications at Guinness World Records. At Random House Children’s, Stephania Villar, formerly Digital Communications Manager for the San Diego Natural History Museum, joins as Manager, Digital Marketing. Tiny Reparations/Dutton/Plume Editor Amber Oliver has left her position but will remain in publishing, with an announcement to come later this month.

Jennifer Swihart joins Fortier Public Relations as Associate Director. In the past she was VP, IPS Marketing for Ingram Content Group. Mallory Campoli, lately Senior Publicity Manager at Smith Publicity, joins as Assistant Director.

In agency news…Dorothy Vincent, most recently Director of Foreign Rights at CAA, joins Sanford J. Greenburger Associates as Director of Foreign Rights. Marie Napolitano has joined Jane Rotrosen Agency as Subsidiary Rights Sales Agent. At Howland Literary, Cassie Mannes Murray joins as Agent.

At Bloomsbury USA, Amanda Dissinger, lately Publicity Manager at Algonquin, joins as Senior Publicity Manager.

Caitlin Leffel joins Union Square & Co. as Senior Editor. Previously she was Editor at Rizzoli.

At Island Press, Stacy Eisenstark joins as Senior Editor for the Built Environment. She was formerly Environmental Studies Editor at the University of California Press.

Katherine White, previously Sales and Marketing Manager for the University of New Mexico Press, joins the MIT Press as Senior Library Relations and Sales Associate.

Devon Renwick joins American Psychological Association Publishing as Books Marketing Manager, Academic and Scholarly. Previously she was Senior Sales and Metadata Specialist at Johns Hopkins Press. Additionally, Robyn Lee joins as Digital and Social Marketing Associate, focusing on children’s books. She was previously Director of Publicity and Marketing at Waterhouse Press.

At Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, Bezawit Yohannes joins as Marketing Coordinator for Aladdin, Little Simon, Simon Pulse, Simon Spotlight, and Margaret K. McElderry Books.

At the University of Pittsburgh Press, Caleb Gill joins as Marketing Coordinator.

 

PROMOTIONS

Tara Parsons has been promoted to VP and Deputy Publisher for Amistad, as well as HarperCollins Español and HarperVia. Laina Adler moves up to VP and Deputy Publisher for HarperOne.

At Kensington, Lynn Cully moves up to become VP, Director of Business Relations. She is succeeded as Publisher by Jacqueline Dinas.

Chris Bauerle is now EVP of Sales and Marketing at Insight Editions.

At Simon Element, Jessica Preeg moves up to Publicity Director.

Eric Brandt is now Director at University of Virginia Press.
